Sanjaya's Mom Busted For Growing Marijuana
According to the National Enquirer, Sanjaya's mother, Jillian Blyth, was busted in 2005 for growing pot in her garage. Neighbors complained about the smell of marijuana and the large vent on the roof of the garage, according to legal documents unearthed by the Enquirer.
According to the report, police found 310 marijuana plants at the Malakar's house, and even more at another location in Federal Way, Washington. Sanjaya's mother pled guilty to "unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance", a felony.
The National Ledger revealed further details in an article Wednesday, including the fact that Sanjaya's sister Shyamali was at the scene when police arrived, and that she was the one that told police where to find her mother at the second growing operation in Federal Way.

every family has problems, no one is perfect. "sweep off your front porch before you sweep mine" ever heard that. well people should. its ashame that people in this country care more about a teenagers problem then the problems that are killing our country!
I AM SORRY BUT SMOKING OR GROWING POT IS NOT AS BAD AS EVERY THINKS IT IS. THERE ARE WORSE THINGS HAPPENING IN THIS WORLD THEN TO WORRY ABOUT AN AMERICAN IDOL'S MOM THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SHOW AND THEREFORE IS STUPID AND UNCALLED FOR.
What is the problem here people .Who cares if some one is growing marijuana at there home they should be aloud to if they want. Why dont we worry about other things in this world. The homeless people we got livin on our streets the wars the are going on ,starving children and abusive parents.Lets worry about where are country is headed global warming.
Shame on the media to keep focusing on the negatives about this teenager. Considering all he went through as he was growing up he has done well for himself. Let us say a praye for him and wish him well in his future endeavors. He is just a kid trying to make it in the world.
