Kellie Pickler to host Country Music Television "Video of the Year" Special

Kellie Pickler, the American Idol contestant from Season 5 known for her southern charm as well as being a bit of an airhead, will host the 2007 CMT Music Awards Video of the Year Special on April 9th at 10:30pm.

The special gives a rundown of the eight videos up for Video of the Year, including:

Carrie Underwood - "Before He Cheats"
Dixie Chicks - "Not Ready to Make Nice"
George Strait - "The Seashores of Old Mexico"
Keith Urban - "Once In a Lifetime"
Kenny Chesney - "You Save Me"
Rascal Flatts - "What Hurts the Most"
Sugarland - "Want To"
Toby Keith - "A Little Too Late"

At the beginning of the Music Awards on April 16th, the field will be cut to four, and then the winner will be announced towards the end of the program. Kellie Pickler will also be up for an ward at the show. She has been nominated for Breakthrough Video of the Year for her video "Red High Heels". The Music Awards will be hosted by comedian Jeff Foxworthy.
