Gina Glocksen Shown the Door on American Idol

Gina Glocksen was sent home from the American Idol competition last night, edging out Haley Scarnato from the bottom spot. Glocksen was forced to stray from her traditional rock genre to sing the standards of Tony Bennett this week, and she seemed to really pull it off, with her rendition of "Smile".

Her performance on Tuesday got good reviews from the judges. Randy called her performance "a very nice controlled performance for the rocker girl", and Paula said it was "flawless, understated, beautiful, and sentimental", but the judges rave reviews weren't enough to keep her on the show for another week.

Since Gina ended up in the the top 10 finalists, she will join the American Idol Tour this summer.
